George Papathanail has successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis on Service Orchestration Architectures for the Network Edge. Well deserved!

Angelos Pentelas has successfully defended his Ph.D. on SFC Orchestration over Resource-Constrained NFV Infrastructures. His research work was published at high-profile conferences and journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management (TNSM), IEEE Access, IFIP/IEEE Networking 2021, IFIP/IEEE IM 2021, IFIP/IEEE NOMS 2020. 

George Papathanail showcased the NEPHELE project at the 87th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF). TIF is one of the most significant events of its kind in Southeast Europe and serves as a platform for enterprises, public/private organizations, and professionals to showcase their products and services. 

Panagiotis Papadimitriou delivered a keynote talk, titled “Towards the Convergence of IoT and Edge Computing: Opportunities and Challenges” at the IEEE International Conference on Computer, Information, and Telecommunication Systems (CITS 2023).

Panagiotis Papadimitriou co-chaired the 3rd edition of International Workshop on Time-Sensitive and Deterministic Networking (TENSOR) workshop in Barcelona, which was held in conjunction with the prestigious IFIP/IEEE Networking conference. TENSOR was characterized by very engaging talks, a highly interactive environment, and plenty of insights gained on a wide range of TSN aspects. 

NetCloud members attended the 2nd plenary meeting of the NEPHELE project that was held in Lille in May 2023. The discussions revolved around the Virtual Object stack specification, the synergetic meta-orchestration framework, and the four use cases. 

The 18th International Conference on Network and Service Management (http://www.cnsm-conf.org/2022) was held from October 31, 2022, to November 4, 2022, in Thessaloniki with great success and plenty of interaction, during the technical sessions and social events. More than 130 attendees from all over the world participated in the event, with the majority being on-site.

Prof. Panagiotis Papadimitriou  gave a keynote speech  at FEC meeting ATHENS, 15-17 OCTOBER 2019. The title of the speech was “MESON Project: Cross Slice | Communication at the edge of the network”
